BOP

Protea offers BOP (Blow-Out-Preventer) units for the new generation drilling rigs.

These valves are still growing in weight and size. Currently they have already reached weights of 400 tonnes and even more.

So as to meet industry market needs Protea produces BOP cranes with lifting capacity of 550T and the height of 30m. At this moment, we are in the process of designing and producing 8 orders for this type of equipment.
There are two winches - each with lifting capacity of 275T in our BOP Cranes. Additionally, we equipped them is a special system of supporting and moving the load and in radio remote control. It makes the exploitation of the device to be easy and unproblematic.

The BOP Cranes contains hydraulic drive and the are adapted to work in the zones where potential explosions are a risk.
